I think you mean the GPS... goto the general store (Vladic Ka's bits and bobs) and buy yourself a GPS then the default key should be right ctrl and M... or at least it is for me.

 
There always used to be a bug (not sure if it is still here) that you had to spam right CTRL+M until it opend, If you encounter this issue, press right CTRL+ALT+M. Then it will open instantly.

@Jack Zyph it's a bug on arma buddy, some people seem to have it others not, I have asked the same question myself before and there is no current fix as far as I'm aware sorry 

 
Hello Jack, If you want to you could make a report a bug in the report a bug section of the forums. 

Like stated by Scott, I don't know any fix for it either atm. 

 
I had same problem when i started playing Arma. None of those worked for me. I simply rebinded the key for GPS to right Alt and it is working. 

 
If you use plays.tv right ctrl + m doesn't work as this is a key command for plays.tv. Could that be the case?

 
You can also re-size the GPS so it's more like a mini-map.

You need to do this in gameplay settings. Requires a game restart to take effect.
