Milsim night

So I've had quite a few people come to me and ask that I run one of my Ops, and as I've not done one in a while I thought I would bring it to the great server of ALUK :)

As with everything I do the group is British themed and is based on real British Army groups which are;

3rd Battalion The Rifles - A light mechanised infantry battalion, I used these for patrol type missions with larger groups generally (8+ people)

16 Air Assault Brigade - Pathfinders - multi role Infantry, Again I use these guys for patrol missions but some sneaky stuff, I try not to use vehicles with these guys if I can help it but it can be fun. Again, larger groups for these guys. (8+ people)

3 Commando - Royal Marines - I don't think I need to explain the royal marines.... (2 - 7 people)

I understand this is not everyone's cup of tea so I just want to gauge how many people are interested and what type of mission you guys would be interested in, I will be available tonight if you want to talk more (in the British Airways channels).

Please come and talk to me or mention it in your post if you have experience with:

Being a 1IC or 2IC or other command of this type

The L7A2 GPMGs (General Purpose Machine Gun)

Marksman

Sniper

Medic (with ACE of other similar mod)

If you have any other quality you think could help with the mission please let me know.

Be aware this will require Mods to play. Thanks for reading and I will keep you all updated :)

Where can I locate you on teamspeak mate?

nvm, just read then

@killerabbitim down for this, but why not include 32nd Regiment Royal Artillery to provide overwatch and target acquisition, or just include some field artillery groups, mortars, howitzers for example, i'd love to get into artillery within milsim again <3

I would love to try it out, been playing some invade & annex lately, where i enjoy the Marksman role mostly.

Is the Sniper role Sniper with a spotter, due to me and a mate go on some servers and work as a sniper and spotter and have killed multiple people in kavala without being spotted from 1250+ metres away

@Lord Hank of KavalaBeing honest, I've never made a mission that uses artillery, I almost exclusively make infantry or light mechanised missions but I'm up for having a try at making something in the future that would include a different roll like that. That would require us to have some half decent numbers.

@BrandonPMaybe not something you should admit too but yes it would be a traditional sniper/spotter combination.

This is on PVP servers not Altis Life, sometimes its nice to let off a bit of steam on pvp, however all of my RP encounters will tell you that I play with a high quality of roleplay.

I would definitely be up for this @killerabbit! I have been in several realism units and participated in a vary of roles :

Firstly back in 2013/14 I was in 101st AB Arma 2 realism unit, where I was a BAR (Browning automatic rifleman) gunner for our European squadron, after racking up a few years with them lads I moved on to:

11th MEU - Arma 2 Realism :

In 11th MEU I assumed the role of AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN, and was offered SL however I refused to hang up my trust AR :), -- During this time I was also one of the very few trained in using the AAV and LAV variants of armoured vehicles and was a trained Gunner/Commander of a unit known as 'Highlander 2-1'. After 2-1 was scrapped due to the need for more infantry I once again assumed my AR role, but at the same time was trained in using marksman rifles such as the M16A4 RCO. After 2 years or so I left for another unit with the same people!

The next unit was BE-SOTG (Black Eagle Special Operations Task Group) was the 11th MEU but in a more relaxed experience, we could apply for slots but still had to sit our strenuous training exercises to keep us in shape. Nothing much happened in BE-SOTG but we did have a few cracking ops!

Finally we move on to 22nd SAS, I was offered my AR however I instead decided to take the role of Pointman/Breacher - I remained in 22nd for around 1 year before all of my realism units had disbanded and it was time to focus on ALUK instead. 22nd was more of a relaxed yet still serious unit though :)

I would prefer to be in the Royal Marines if possible but place me where you feel suits best! :)

I'd happily join in!

Just about all of my milsim experience is with US based units but I still participated in a few British units too. I'd happily fill a Platoon/Squad Corpsman or Medic position. I've served as a medic/corpsman in just about every unit I ever joined and I've been in senior instructor positions for the ACE medical system too. It'd be great to have a regular milsim night with ALUK members in my opinion but having the numbers is the trouble.

As for HQ and command I've been in Platoon level positions like Medic, RTO and Sergeant. For a time I was also the Commanding Officer of a unit but that position consisted of creating paper work and doing administrative duties for the unit and never actually being a foot soldier on the ground or getting close enough to get shot by the enemy in-game. Most of the command positions won't apply to milsim nights unless there is a formal training and documentation system so I imagine the game night would go off a one/two squad system.

It would be interesting to see people from gangs, police and NHS fight in the same side.

Also were are the mentions about ACE pilots?, they play a pretty critical role..

I will happily join as a Medic if needed. Was in 32nd Infantry Division on Arma 2 back in those days and was also in 40 Commando for a short time. As i said would play as medic but would need to refresh myself on the controls. But either way.

COUNT ME IN!!!

I will attend as a section commander? Have around 930 on Arma 3 playing milsim :D *Nerd*

I'd love to do this, I'd happy join for as a squad leader.
