Medics stealing?

Ok, so I'm not gonna put this in the complaints section, because it involved someone that I respect greatly, but I would like people's (or admin's?) opinion on this scenario.

My friends and I called a medic for a over-enthusiastic friend that parachuted out of the chopper, landed awkwardly (bugged) and died.

When the medics arrived, we were fully kitted in ghillie suits with illegal weapons etc, but we put these on our backs when the medics arrived. We RPed with one of them for quite a while, even had a 'Simon says' competition.

After a while, it seemed like they were stalling us for some reason, but since they were medics, we kept on RPing.

I'm not sure who suggested it, but at one point, I placed my ghillie suit on the floor to allow one of them to see if they could try it on. It 'disappeared' and both claimed that it must have been a bug. It was confirmed later that the senior medic took the ghillie suit and put it in their hatchback.

After this, I also learned that they were stalling us to allow time for the police to come (who they had contacted via the NHS channel).

Now, what are people's thoughts on this? Since we were just RPing and causing no harm to anyone, should medics be contacting police to have us arrested? Are they allowed to steal expensive equipment if given the opportunity?

Just to reiterate, I will not be disclosing any names here, it is a scenario I would like confirmation/opinions on :)

Well if they were standing right next to you, it would be bad RP from them to use their radio to contact the police, as IC'ly you would have been able to hear that. I also think its terrible RP to steal something and blame it on a bug, because realisticly you would not be able to put something in your backpack without anyone noticing it.

I didn't read all of it to be honest. But from the topic alone: Medics are under no right to steal in ANY situation.

From what I was told at the time, they sent the request via text on the channel, not voice-comms.

Ok no the medic shouldn't have taken any of your items I don't want a backwash of comments on here what medics should and shouldn't do, please leave it for a senior NHS to deal with.

Linking in senior NHS.

While I appreciate you getting clarification on the matter Stealthee, I was also asking for people's opinions.

The subheading for this area of the forums is "Talk about anything here.", so I think this is exactly the place for people to say what they like (unless I'm mistaken)   :)

Medics are supposed to help police when they can. It is encouraged that they contact police in a situation where there are illegal activites / items.

I don't agree with them taking the Ghillie. They might have had an RP reason (Like Its covered in blood and needs to be washed so you dont get infected and die).

Please note medics can get naked, but not put their clothes back on, and sometimes causes a bug making items disappear.

Medics should never, ever steal from anyone. They may pick up money to prevent someone else from taking it etc as long as they return it immediately.

highly doubt that the medic would have taken the suit and put it in the hatchback, it is also very common for clothes on the floor to despawn as a cleanup script takes place. I would very much like to speak to you / advise you to contact a CMO about the matter and give names of the medics to get the situation properly resolved.

Things need to be cleared:
Did they actually steal anything?
Who confirmed that it was in the hatchback?

Medic names?
How did they contact the police?

Like I said in my initial post, I shall not be giving any names here. It was confirmed by the other medic that was there, that the senior medic told him that he put the ghillie in the car. I will be happy to speak to you later on TS though, if you wish :)

They messaged the police with the NHS channel (via text).

@stealthee

Many thanks for the Tag.

as previously stated multiple times in this thread, medics should not be removing items from you whilst you are in need of attention, although in a agreed roleplay scenario then yes i could imagine the medic doing so, although lines would be blurred.

in regards to delaying you for the police to arrice, it really depends on the individual medic and their belief in wrong and right and how much they should potentially put their life at risk. This ideally has to be balanced so as not to foster distrust and hatred from the rebels, but at the same time to try and uphold the law.

Most of the time its robbers robbing robbers :/ kinda just imo so i leave it, but when i see a innocent person being robbed i will try my best to make sure the police are aware of what is happening.

please feel free to contact me Via PM or contact me in Teamspeak to resolve the issue as the scenario is somewhat unclear to me.

@lionel

This man is saying that medics stole his ghillie suit because the medics wanted to try them on.

If this is true they should receive a hard punishment, both assisting police and stealing. Not good
