I think inside the police department should be a trident unit ( gang unit ) who deals with gang communication, gang problems and gang raids.

For example a gang member gets arrested the arresting officer would call trident down to support incase other gang members get invovled or to deal with the suspect.

Um, i mean, that's kinda the job of CID, we investigate gang related things. The second thing you mention about calling in someone to help you out if you arrest a gang member, just call in any unit, be it firearms or frontline, don't think we need a special unit just to help out arresting officers in the case of gang members.
