Time & Date this happened: 03:55 22/11/2014
 
Description of what happened: about 15 mins before I was killed, I saw a lot of people gathering by the church/drug dealer in Kavala. Lots of gunfire, police being shot. The usual for the early AM in Altis.
 
Being the curious type, I scooted around looking at what was going on and then decided watching from the vantage point of the hospital would be a good idea, as I'd be safe from fire (I thought) and I could see everything going on.
 
So after numerous gun battles were over and the police retreated I continued watching the building opposite me which now had several armed players above it and I wondered what would happen next. Shortly later I was visited by two very eccentric medics who had a conversation about the illegally parked helicopter on the roof (it wasn't mine). Cut to the video, after the medics leave, I turn my attention back to the building opposite and spot who I now know to be MaTz, who takes a shot at me, misses, then fires again and kills me.
 
Have you tried to resolve with the player before posting?: I asked MaTz if he knew he'd shot me while being in a green zone and he replied with accusations that I was spotting for PLF members or others. I'm sure if any PLF members are reading this, they can vouch for the fact I neither know any of them, or contacted any of them at any point during the skirmish.

I was watching from a far, but I am pretty sure the reason he shot you is you was reporting positions to the people LRG was fighting. Now I know Mat and he would not shoot unless he had a valid reason. And if he thought you was reporting positions to them by staring at them with rangefinders for a good 20 minutes then I would probably think the same.

I understand its in green zone, but I think this was justified if so. I am more then sure Mat will compensate you for what you have lost plus extra for the trouble. Its rare that LRG leaders break RP.

Just my opinion though.

 
I appreciate your opinion, but unfortunately, I can absolutely state that I wasn't spotting for anyone.

If you're new to the server like I am and Altis Life mod in general, large gun fights are unusual, so for me it was natural that I wanted to watch what was going on, after all it's late and there isn't much else going on. I'm currently processing the previous 20mins of video and I'll upload those too to show the context of the first video.

To state again, as clearly as possible - I don't know anyone from ANY of the larger gangs on this server, PLF, LRG, aC, aG, TI or any other and I absolutely did not spot for anyone other than myself during this mornings skirmish.

And above all I was in a green zone, which from what I understand of the rules means no killing for any reason.

Well fair enough mate, if you wasn't then I am sure the shooting was just a miscommunication or false information. I am sure you can deal with this in game with some compensation to yourself from LRG.

 
The first thing I asked MaTz for was compensation for my gear, beyond that I didn't fully care. But he didn't want to do so, so here we are sadly.

I can testify that he had no comms with me one bit. I'm the guy he was supposedly reporting positions to. As I stated in another post however, there is no justification in shooting an unarmed man with zero roleplay whether he had binoculars or a big sign saying 'you are here'. Had he gone to the guy and asked him to stop watching them it may have been different but instead he just shot him.

 
Okay totally admit i shot you i am not denying that at all, but you can see i fired a warning shot you didn't move and that's why i killed you.

My team mate got shot from that direction from a PLF member Dagre without role play ( after already getting killed by me 10minutes ago ) So you can see my point in why i shot as i thought you was spotting for them as there is many hills and rocks around that position to look from why are you sitting on a Green zone hospital, I would of shot you regardless as you acting fishy as my team mates was getting fired upon even if you was at a rock, i don't go trying to get name tags.

Now from the video you posted i don't see you in a group or nothing so you seem legit in that sense i mean i am totally up for compensating you 2million (in game cash) as you say your a new player joined the server recently and it was totally my fault, if you feel an admin to review it then don't post back, All i ask if you don't mind is the 20minute recording to make sure you wasn't communicating on in game mobile or voice communications.

Thank you and "unconnected" if you were totally legit in what you was doing maybe bird watching :D or what ever being nosy at the gun fire I do apologize and this is a MISTAKE on my side.

The video has been uploaded, but is currently processing at youtubes end.

It's approx 20mins long and it's a merge of 3 shadowplay commits, as I wasn't recording continuously, but I imagine the gaps between them are quite short.

You'll see me in front of the church with some other hobos, then me moving to the roof of the hospital and watching the gun battle, then some doctors discussing anal rape and plotting to push me off the roof for stealing their medical supplies and finally what has been posted before.

As I said in game, all I asked for is compensation, I've been killed so many times recently by RDMers that I don't have much cash and losing 50k a death isn't something I can continue doing.

I'm more than happy to walk away after that but I don't know if I can delete a post or topic and honestly, I just want to go to bed right now. If you message me in game tomorrow I'm sure we can work it out.

LRG are willing to compensate you 2 mill for the inconvenience which I think is quite generous of them. I am glad this got sorted in a mature manner for the obvious mistake Mat made.

This is not the case iIkeroo, end of the day regardless if he's sorted it out with this person he is still breaking server rules, and to pay a guy 2 millions when he is naked is because he knows he is in the wrong, shooting in the greenzone is a banable offence, and as LRG are already on a tight leash the 2 million is just to save his neck.

 
MaTz, I shot your friend from nowhere near the hospital. But if that's your excuse for shooting unarmed men then sure.

Perhaps you would care to share son evidence on those accusations?
Further that, regardless if he 'spotting' or even if he was shooting you, it is not permitted to shoot in the green zone.

 
Not sure if you can pay out of a report but I guess LRG will regardless.

 
I have seen reports settled before, if the original reporter drops his case, then it is considered resolved.
