Love An Admin being on Server 3... NOT!

Just making this thread to express my feelings of at least 1 Admin being on Server 3 for some of the time is what I would like to say but I have never seen an admin on server 3 and does not help the fact that I keep coming across people not having mics and me having to deal with it because no admin can be bothered to do part of what there role contains.

I do not believe its the admin's not being bothered, Its an extremely busy task.

If you are coming across people not having mics etc then please report it and they will get banned, After all the community is our eyes and ears as we cannot monitor every single player.

yeah Wilco but I would prefer for an admin to be on standby or maybe just have it so A admin can receive the message from the phone while not even being on the game to deal with the situation like some people not having mics.

 
You only see this on server 3 because the admins aren't on it, they're busy with server 1 and 2, hence why the amount you see it on there to be less, arma doesn't allow you to be in two (or three) servers at once :p.

Plus, they're humans too, and their position is voluntary.

Dude, the way you have worded this might be abit over the top as they say - admins are very busy remember ; Reports / Comps / Disbute a ban / making plans / events - and then fly around the map looking for people that are not obeying the rules - give some respect ;)  

 
Yeah I understand your points above and know that not admins can be on all servers at the same time I'm just thinking of a method in which allow admins to not have to be physically in the game but can view messages that come through from the phone that is sent by other people such as civs or cops however I doubt a smart system is possible to implement with sending the message to an external program to view certain messages and if the Admins are spread out so wide across server 1 & 2 don't you think more admins are needed even though I know they are busy people with planning things in the future and dealing with or situations.

Since a program has already been made to simply connect to a server of the three and view information on each then it could be possible to extract information from them to view messages (specifically incoming admin messages) to help distribute admins where needed depending on how serious the situation is.

 
It doesn't matter.  We can't just simply ban someone, because pc terror is saying in a textmessage that someone has no mic.

And if you really don't like server 3 due to lack of admits? Why don't you go to server 1 or 2? Instead you decide to make a post about.

Server 3 is an overflow server and it will always be.

Speaking from experience I can tell you that it is an extremely hard task to admin the server and it is nearly impossible to respond to all requests either from in-game or teamspeak and it doesn't help lately that the servers are so unstable that even the in-game mods will get bored and annoyed that they are crashing causing them to just give up and do something else. Yours sincerely PaulS ex in-game admin, kicked for being a twat.

Admins have lot of things to do, and you should just tell players who dont have mic on chat (Remember // ) and no mic players are not that big problem as for example players who will vdm on purpose after their car got scrapped or seizure they will get another one out and keep doing the same thing.

Admins regularly join sever 3! I always see @WhoisDan join the server. 

Admins have lots of requests to deal with; 'how do I unlock my car' 'RDM in athira' etc. They have to prioritise different things, don't forget they also want to play the game just like everyone else.

Admins play on all 3 servers and do admin patrols on all 3 servers. To have an admin available exclusively for each server all the time would involve recruiting more admins. This would be a long process of applications>refining>interviews>deciding>training. Don't forget not everyone would be suitable as an admin.

If you have an issue in-game with no admins on, then report the player. If it's more urgent, then I sometimes send a teamspeak message to an admin their patrolling channels near the help section of they're on another server and ask them to check it out; there's no rule  against it but obviously it has to be fairly important.

Players aren't there to enforce rules, you can only guide people to follow them. The most any player could do to a rule breaker would be to imprison them as a cop/BH or zip tie them in a car if it comes to it.  Even then you have to be 100% they're actually breaking rules, so be careful.

Additonally as Droge said, server 3 is a second overflow server. It would be priority to patrol server one and then two and three for the admins, would it not? In that event ensure you are recording.

Didn't even mention banning first of all, secondly cops are told to evenly distribute between each of the three servers anyway...

And if you really want the cut down on people being "dumbasses" in the matter of not understanding the basic rules such as it IS a RP server then make it so you have to signup on here (the forums) before getting into the server. Easy fix and could cut down on some of the cheaters in the game

Is that not the same as whitelisting the civilian slots? If so that would be against what this community stands for and what @Wilco and other admins and members want from the community. This server is available to all, forcing players to sign up to the forums is essentially the same as making them white listed.

You understand that being Admins is a task we do in OUR FREETIME right? And you demanding that we now get messages on our PRIVATE Phones is just .. I have no words for this. For us to be on Standby? You think when I am going to University or work (I work in a hospital) I want to be bothered by game related messages? Maybe some people need to be reminded that this is a GAME and that everyone here is a real HUMAN. I sometimes come home from work after a 12 hour Shift and get bombed with demands and questions and still answer them without even getting a thanks. Of course Admins have to help but please keep in mind that we are not your Servants and that we have a lot of things to do. All I ever hear is people complaining about the Admins but never a simple thanks if they actually do something for you. Ridiculous. I am sorry for getting so heated but at some point it is just frustrating. And then you make this stupid sarcastic Thread name. Really? How rude are you? Do you even have any respect? How about you would have simply messaged an Admin asking for help OR you know make a normal Thread with a normal fucking Title. 

I am very sorry for being bitchy myself right now but that just actually upset me a lot.

I think this thread is done,

Here is your summary Anonymous Gecko

Admins are very busy and they devote as much spare time as they can to be on the server as much as possible.

If one is online send them a message via the ingame phone system and if they have time they will get to it as soon as they can, always record, always try to talk to the player breaking rules via ingame OOC chat or direct chat using // first.

If that fails report them and the admins will get too it on the forum, but don't worry the admins will get too it as soon as they can.
