Lost connection in mid air while flying a Hellcat & lost the Hellcat

Quick description of what happened: At around 02:30 GMT, I was finishing my iron bizz trip by the iron trader. As soon as I sold all my cargo, I've lifted off & 5 sec later I was disconnected in 100m alt, while still in that area, hovering/making a turn to the new destination, above the iron trader. I've logged in again, waited 15 minutes + at least 1 km distance from the location, where i died. Anyway, there was no need for that, because new life rule doesn't apply in this case. 1st thing I've noticed was, I dont have anymore the keys to my hellcat chopper, so I went back to the iron trader, just to see what happened. When I came there, I saw my chopper parked on the other side of street, without any damage (I'm not sure if it was mine). As I came close, I was instantly encircled by a gang (B.D.F), who were also probably attacking the city of kavala. They came quickly running towards me, knocked me out, told me, what am I doing there & so. I tried to explain that I was disconnected, lost my chopper, probably this next to us, while we were talking, I was told It belongs to them, but should give them anyway my keys, which of course i didnt had & I couldn't enter that chopper either, it was locked. I tried to reason with those rebels, that I was rite before disconnected & lost my chopper over here, and just came by to see what happened. The rebels weren't compliant, wasn't possible to talk to them in a kind manner, politely, friendly & so on. I was only told to leave or I die. One of the rebels also said, I was combat logging off(probably, I've been seen while I got disconnected), that I shouldn't file in a report for compensation for this chopper & that I shouldn't even call the police and inform them about my lost chopper, so that it will be scraped for sure. But, the thing is, I couldn't be sure, If that chopper was mine, I had no keys, it was locked, I was threatened, rebels didn't tell the truth,.... I presume, that I've lost my hellcat chopper either to the fact, that I was disconnected while in mid air OR the rebels in fact took my chopper(which I don't know if it was mine before, no keys*) & used it for the attack on kavala, well in that case, I presume the cops scraped my chopper, while I was offline. If I would be sure on start, that  the chopper was in fact mine over by the iron trader, I would certanly notify the police, anyway, those rebels had some equipment to launch a combined armed offensive(offroad, ifrit, chopper). 

After server restart, I've logged in 8h later & noticed by the airport garage, my hellcat chopper isn't anymore stored(bought permanently).

This is my 2nd post (reporting for a compensation), I've decided, to apply for compensation only If I lose more then 500000. Well, with the lost chopper I've also lost 153k money I got from the iron dealer, but don't mind about that petty cash.

Hmmm.. A sad tale indeed.

I'm confused why you took the 15min NLR, which you say yourself was unnecessary. Sadly, that would've been the time to get back the chopper - perhaps before the rebels got there.

The one the rebels prevented you from accessing probably *was* yours, but they cannot have sold it to the chop-shop (he doesn't buy choppers, only land vehicles), so other than being used on a mission, it's not much use to them. The cops MIGHT have crushed it, if they caught it, but they are SUPPOSED to check who owns it, and it would've come back as yours, not theirs, so it should simply have been impounded in that case, not crushed.

Alternatively, if it was crashed after the disconnection, it should simply have fallen to ground, burned up most likely, and been returned to garage either by the cleanup script that fires every 10 mins (returns all out-of-sight damaged vehicles to garages, eventually), or by a cop discovering it and impounding it, or by the server restart. None of these seems to have happened, so something is not right.

Possibly you never had the chopper at all, and this is a concocted story of a very high grade, but I doubt it! You've clearly worked hard for the other 23 vehicles in your garage, and so this wouldn't stack up (but then, maybe it's an elaborate double-bluff? LOL)

Nope, I'm at a loss. Probably it was discovered and crushed, and you either weren't on the server to see the 'your vehicle is destroyed' warning message, or missed it. If it was crushed, it was falsely handled by improper procedure, so I will reimburse on this occasion. The underly 'fault' is a random disconnection (compounded by your honest, yet overly strict application of NLR by mistake).

Check your bank. 4mill will be there in due course (you may have to relog if you're in game at the moment)

Almost forgot myself to explain & look up into this thread again, sry that it took so long, but many compliments to your quick reaction & solving this case so quick. Well , 2-4 days later I've met 1 of the rebels , that attacked the city that day(night time), & he explained me, that they saw me(from a distance while closing in, probably), falling out of the chopper(lost connection at that point 80meters alt). The chopper itself landed safely(proly a bit dmg+ locked) just bellow on flat ground near the road , so it stayed in 1 piece, kinda. When they were threatening me to back away, they took it to the city or not, idk, I was just told it was crushed probably & i believe it was so. After i was told to back off, I've disconnected manually 5-10minutes later, that was like 30 minutes before server restart, "I think" it was close to server restart, so i hoped it would be in the garage & made that decision.

Now, I've learned, that I have to lokpick my own vehicle(in case I lose my keys after death/disconnection) & at the same time(an option), call in the police, to get me off the wanted list for that petty offence.

Police crushed my chopper after I've disconnected(manually), that's my explanation of the situation, my conclusion & probably my fault. But this wouldn't happen, if I hadn't got disconnected at that moment. I did not had it long, that chopper in my "vehicle-park", thats true...
