I don't understand how the 'magnet' works on the ramp when that's not made out of metal/magnets. Other then that, it looks really cool!

Saw a post on 9gag somewhere confirming that it only works on rails. Still quite nifty though.

It doesn't work anywhere, the skate park shown was specially made by Lexus to be compatible with the hoverboard. It has permanent magnets throughout it which enable it to work.

This is a great idea, instead of using bikes we can get the government to pay millions to get rails implemented under every pavement and use this totally expensive idea. Nothing beats hovering.

In all seriousness though this is a great leap hopefully they will render the use of the rails useless.
