Hello all and one! Im Loffe Karlsson and I'm your legal advice on what the police can and can not do while arresting you. For some reason the Ministry of Altis have not aknowledged me but the mainlaind has so please contact me for legal advice.

 
During the life of Altis Ive found out that there is no legal advocate for the suspects ... only the police one-judge!

Since I declared myself as a new profession ... Ive not been able to connect to the server anymore. Should I say ' Good Ridance'?

 
Hmm, this is serious! Ive declared to an officer that Im the "handcuffed victims" legal advice. Unfiortunatly my vehicle was in need of repairs so I couldnt follow up on my defendees request. However, I was kicked off the game a minute later (after a nice guy repaired my vehicle). Now Im trying to re-enter the server as legal advice but it seems impossible as Im getting "Connection Refused". My guess is that someone in the police with admin powers doesnt like the idea of ppl  with legal powers. I know ... Im the first to defend ppl like this in Altis! Yet you should've known that eventually there'd be a need for ppl like me!

Hmm, I wanna know ... am I banned because I pretended to be legal advice? I was connected and all of a sudden it said 'connection refused' and I was disconnected. Now I cant connect even when there are free 'civilians'. It always ends up with a connection failed. It NEVER happened before today ... Ive been around for a week or two at least and always been able to connect.

 
I know, ppl hate it when others find ways to make democracy interact with the way of Altis LIFE!

Well first is not true. And its called lawyer isnt it? I might be wrong.

I have been representing my family members in alot of situations, with wins and losses.

I like that you answer your own post tho.

To give you a tip. Dont be the dick that interupt, and do what the cop say. You might get some good will from a cop that want that rp one quiet day.

At least i have good experience with it.

And it have created alot of good rp

Also, connection refused doesn't not mean you've been banned. If you were banned, it would literally say you have been banned.

It's likely due to a steam failure or the server being full.

Many times ive asked for a lawyer to be present once ive been arrested and before they process me, only for the police to say there isnt any lawyers on Altis....

Police can hold anyone without legal representation for up to 24 hours.

As a whole, the police have not had a positive experience with 'lawyers'. Most simply don't know how to RP the position, and proceed to ruin any good RP that's going on. If a suspect is giving me some good RP, and I haven't got much else to do, and they ask for a lawyer, then I might say yes, but most police will exercise their right to hold for 24 hours without legal representation. That's just how it is.

Prove to us that you can RP well as a lawyer, and we can sort something out.

Yeah, I often gather that when a lawyer denies a police officer a reason to imprison someone.

 
I think there was a suggestion by Entei (nope, can't call you by your new name, doesn't feel right!) about having a (very expensive) license for legal reps. I'm totally for his suggestion apart from the fact I don't think some of the better RPers on the server wouldn't want to give up the non-legal aspects of their gameplay to do so.
