Landing Helicopters

What are the rules on landing helicopters? I tried to land next to some police at the Iron/Copper Trader and they began shooting at me. I moved over maybe 50m and tried to land in a field but, due to the damage from the shots, exploded on landed.

I wanted to know what the rules are on landing helicopters?

So if receive some shots near your helicopter when attempting to land or hovering somewhere, its usually telling you to move along and not to come back to the area, these should be done with tracer rounds!

May I ask why you disconnected straight after you crashed ? also your helicopter cannot be damaged from the shots we gave to you since there was no direct contact with the helicopter and the bullets

Sorry, I'm not disputing the exploding heli. I'm genuinely interested in the rules.

I understand this; I was just curious if there's rules on where and where not to land.

I went to go play overwatch with some friend. It said I was killed by Friendly Fire, so I assume a few made contact.

You should have waited a bit then re-spawn tbh

I also think it says friendfire when you crash and die not sure but trust me the tracers were fired around your helicopter

Gotcha; wasn't aware it said friendly fire as usually if I crash my car, it just says died.

In future, I'll wait, spawn, then D/C. But yeah, about the heli landing zones?

Alright bud just be careful next time. And for lading zones you can land anyware which is not a City or a populated zone or when a police officer give a warning shot with tracer bullets
