Korgath (Refused - Warning given/Poor evidence)

Description of what happened: ben had been doing some classic robbing rp in Kavala, telling people they had to go to the ATM and draw out some money. It'd gone well and people played along and took out token amounts. Then he tries it on a guy called MetalHead, who follows him into the bank and ben goes through the motions. At this point he is shot and killed by Korgath who didn't say a thing and admits as much in a screenshot later. Full disclosure: Korgath was robbed by ben 30mins or more earlier to this incident, but I don't think that excuses the complete lack of communication prior to shooting ben.
 
Have you tried to resolve with the player before posting?: ben asked him to comp his gear, but he steadfastly declined.

So as suspected they're light on details when describing the situation.

I log in and run to the garage, I let them stop me so they took my 55k yeah - that's fair enough. I followed them back to the car spawn where they have been sitting waiting for people to leave and then robbing them knowing nobody will stop them as there's no cops or Bounty Hunters logged in. I watched as Ben robbed two or three people, some of which are obviously very new to the server if not the game. With no police logged in and nobody else to stop them they clearly are doing it because they know it's easy money and nobody is around to stop them. Ben was talking over local about how stupid some guy was because he actually went and emptied the ATM when he didn't have anything on him in the first place and "Who does that, I would rather just die and respawn."

I worked my way around a few vantage points in whatever buildings weren't locked whilst listening to them and worked my way around to the back of the bank knowing he would be at it soon. When it sounded like he was about to kill the next guy I intervened and in return got the revenge my character was seeking and the thanks of the guy he was about to kill. A nice bit of vigilante justice one might say.

In side chat Ben as much as admitted he would have shot at me when he seen me come out from the back of the bank so I don't think for a second I would have been afforded the same opportunity to RP the situation, not that it would have been wise for my character to do so anyway knowing there's another 2 or 3 armed guys about 20 meters away from the bank. I full well knew it wasn't a fight I was going to win if I stuck around and so did my character. I got what I wanted and got out, now I have a bounty for murder which I'm totally fine with.

It's interesting that they don't see any problem forcing people into a corner (RP or not) by waiting at the safe zone when they know nobody is online who will stop them (and that's the only reason they are doing it) while at the same time jumping up and down because I done the same to them.

I think it's pretty clear that they decided they would sit at the safe zone and rob people knowing nobody was around to stop them. That wouldn't be an issue normally when it's not 6am since someone would intervene but all they've done this morning is discourage newer players from playing on the server whether it was 'RP' or not.

As far as I'm concerned (in game at least) the situation is over unless one of his associates would like to settle the score (not that they even seen me in game anyway as shown in the video). If they feel wronged by what I done then maybe they will in future put more thought to the newer players who never had a chance at all when they RP'd them into a corner from the safety of the safe zone.

I appreciate where you're coming from, being robbed can suck, but I think the rules are clear:

RDM = Ban if no role-play, Remember this is a serious roleplay community therefore shooting people on sight with no roleplay is RDM, engage in roleplay at all times.

By your own admission you didn't engage in any RP at all with Ben, saying you would've been killed is immaterial - he was better armed, he had an assault rifle and you a pistol.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough? They were literally sitting inside the safe zone waiting for people to leave then robbing them. Even if someone *was* to try stop them they can't because most of the time they were sat in the safe zone.

You were robbed 30 mins before you killed Ben. I'd say that most rational people would suggest that a length of time like that on the server would suggest cessation of any RP between events.

You then by your own admission stated you didn't say a word to him before opening fire.

But this is now for admin review, the evidence is above. I note you haven't produced any to refute the position.

The only debatable point is whether or not my character stalking you for a few hours of in game time is still deemed to be RP or not. If you want to chill in the middle of a town and leave yourself vulnerable to those you have robbed then you should be expecting something like that to happen.

If you want to complain about me not RP'ing then how about you explain sitting in the safe zone and trying to coerce people to leave it so you can rob them and how that is RP?

Kulgorn, if you have a complaint about my or ben's actions on the server please open your own topic, I note you've made a lot of accusations above without any semblance of proof.

For the record, I simply observed the events and I felt necessary, after your comments in side chat, to post it here.

Also, please remember ben tried multiple times to ask for compensation for his gear and you refused.

Observed events? You've been walking around with Ben for the last 3 hours or so chatting away to each other. Stop trying to make it sound like you're just some sort of concerned third party.

What I done to Ben already cost me the remaining money I had in my account from the bounty when PCSO Smaste stopped me and honestly I have no issue with that. I just hope in future you guys will think twice about how camping one of the few safe zones on the entire map can impact other players experience of the game.

From listening to the video (thats all i can do) there was no RP, this to me looks like RDM however im unsure if there was any roleplay beforehand.
