Hi Altis Community,

I was searching for a thread with our keyboard control layout. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything on this subject. I notice to often, people asking how to use a ToolKit or how to unlock / lock cars, etc... I think we all have been there before. (and OMG that SIDE CHANNEL) 

In short do we have a thread / post explaining the keyboard control layout? Also what "key(s)" to use with TeamSpeak for the push-to-talk. 

I think it would help the RP in-game if there was a place people could find the keyboard control layout, so we don't need to see " How this, How that". It won't remove all the traffic (SPAM) in the SIDE CHANNEL, but it may just slow it down a little.

If there is a thread like this please let me know. And if not who's up for the challenge? 

Keyboard control layout should include.

-> Basic controllers 

  • How to mine
  • How to use the shops, and processes.  (important to not explain when to use it but only what "key" - "mouse button" to use)
  • How to pick ( Eg; Frog legs and others )
  • How to unlock / lock 
  • How to "Put Hands Up"
  • Run, Walk, Sit, etc.... (please include emotes keys)
-> Advance controllers (shortcut keys)

  • How to holster handgun
  • How to O.K someone with gun
  • How to reload weapon(s)
-> Controls for Police & Medics

I'm not Police nor Medic so I can't comment on the keys needed. Nor the actions.

Having a place anyone can jump in and check the above would lower the SPAM volume on TeamSpeak. Also please feel free to share your best practice keyboard layout. But if sharing your own personalized please make is clear you have changed the controls.

Feel free to make your own thread explaining the key bindings that the server had and suggested keys for teamspeak, although we don't currently have a thread I am sure if you make a good quality one maybe a forum moderator would pin it somewhere for ease of access.

I would but unfortunately, I am to new to the game to take up this challenge. Plus I haven't played as a Police Officer nor Medic. So I would not be able to complete it. The best would be a person with many hours and has done all mainline roles.

 
If I remember and get enough time later on I will.

the only keys a police/medic has that are different is shift+L=lights 

 
Anyone can feel free to use what I've written below and make your own professional post as I wouldn't want to take all the credit from someone elses idea!
I just covered the basic stuff that you requested in your post!

We need to know a few things before we begin, what are/is;

A virtual inventory = When you hit "Y" on your keyboard, the inventory to the right side of the tablet is the virtual inventory
Inventory = When you hit "I" or scroll to "Inventory" using your mouse wheel.

-> Basic controllers 
How to mine: Open your virtual inventory and click "USE" after selecting your pickaxe - You can obtain a pickaxe from the Market, which is located around the map in towns. They are marked as "Market" on your map.
You can only mine when you're in places such as the Oil field and Copper/Iron mine
How to use the shops, and processes: - To use the shops, just scroll wheel onto the little sign that are in the markets and shops and select the option it gives you. The best example is on Kavala high street.
How to pick: - To pick apples/peaches and other virtual items, just hold down your windows key when you're in the correct location. (such as apple field or peach field)
How to unlock / lock: - Click "U" on your keyboard when you're close to your vehicle to unlock, and again to lock.
How to "Put Hands Up": - Hold "SHIFT-J" on your keyboard to raise and lower hands. Remember this one, as it may very well be life or death!
Run, Walk, Sit, etc: - Run = Hold shft, Walk = hit "C" - Toggle walk = Hit "W" & "S" at the same time - Sit = your @ key on an English layout keyboard - Salute = your # key on an English layout keyboard

-> Advance controllers
How to holster handgun: - Hit "SHIFT-H" on your keyboard to holdster or "CTRL-H" to unholster
How to K.O someone with gun: - Whilst you have your weapon unholstered, hit "SHIFT G"
How to reload weapon(s): - Hit "R" on your keyboard
-> Controls for Police & Medics
There is already a google document made for this for people that join the Police and/or medics.

Haha, that video was brill.

I could make it into an Official post if people actually wanted it, I agree that I do see many people asking questions.
I'll see if anyone else does it, if not, I'll go ahead and post something up officially to help new people :)
