Hello!
I've been playing on this server for about a month now but just thought I'd say hello!
I spunked all my initial money on trial and error - initially I didn't realise there was a garage so kept buying and buying more cars. I also made the mistake of carrying 40k on me when I first ventured to collect marijuana - of course I got held up, and of course I got robbed.
Now I've managed to slowly get back to about 200k - I started out fishing off Kavala which was super relaxing, then I ventured back into marijuana processing.
I now own a lovely camo pick-up and bought my first truck a few nights ago.
Really been enjoying this game so far. There can be some utterly intense scenarios that play out, especially on a drug run... on your own.
The lessons I've learnt so far are:
1. If on your own, park your vehicle out of site when either collecting marijuana, processing it or selling it. If you get caught or held up you don't lose anything. Obvs if you get killed thats a different matter...
2. First aid kits and toolkits, you can never have enough of them
3. Dress like a hobo. Most people ignore the hobos.
4. At my wealth level, buying a gun was expensive but also made me more foolhardy. I died quickly. Don't bother with guns at the start, even when drug running. You can be cautious and smart and that usually saves your arse.
