So over the next few days myself and with the help of the staff team ( Todays guest is@ ) will be addressing some issues that players need to be aware of.

So our first issue is the one and only....

Abuse Within Roleplay or outside of Roleplay!

No matter who you are in this community, no matter gang or faction there is a thin line and always will be a thin line between what is counted as acceptable and unacceptable RP when you  roleplay aggressively towards others. We play a Giant game of cops vs robbers and sometimes things don’t always go to plan, as staff team members, we would like to explain the following points that in recent days/weeks are becoming more and more of an issue between certain gangs/factions what may have to lead to staff team intervention.

Abusive roleplay

Know there is nothing wrong with abuse within Role Play, if your told to “fuck off”  then you should be able to take it on the chin and brush it off. At the end of the day this is an adult community remember, what happens in game, stays in game. End of. If you can’t take some of the insults which add to immersion then maybe you should grow some thicker skin, nothing you ever say inside of game should ever be meant to offend anyone outside of game.

However, when these insults start to become a personal attack through ingame “roleplay” you should take a long look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself “Am I being a stuck up twat?” And if the answer is “Yes” then please carefully remove your over-sized head out of your ass.

This is a computer GAME, the definition of a computer game is as followed “an activity that one engages in for amusement”.

As players you should not be playing a game if it makes you angry, easier said than done I know! You should only play a game if it gives you enjoyment! And by looking at a lot of players hours on the game some of you spend 100s or 1000s of hours on our servers.

It is easier said than done but if a game winds you up so badly you feel the need to hurl abuse at someone then it’s time you take a step back, cool off and come back when things aren't as heated but if things proceed the doors and ears of the staff, support and faction leaders are always open to talk to and help resolve arising matters and don't forget you have a fabulous old wrinkly man named @FriendlyFireGuy to have a shoulder to cry on and to vent your inner anger to, (He loves it when you sit on his lap)

Conclusion

If you’re upset, angry or a little salty then talk it out with the player with a lovely member support with you to mediate the issue. Be an adult, be the better person! And hug it out!

This is more true for me than anyone else, Arma 3 is 18 rated in the UK, if you are offended by words grow a thicker skin, If i call you a "Hapless fuckwit who should of been thrown to the wolves at birth" in game it is just that. it is RP in an adult community if I wanted to be nicer i'd go play club penguin. if you take offence to anything anyone says ingame let them know in TS and move on.

Exactly what if we roleplay as an Australian swearing is just normal conversation!

At first glance I thought the topic was called John joeegans a little tipsy lol 😁

Great post John, if anyone meets me in game and i seem to be an aggressive Scottish solider.. Well that's because i am RP'ing a hard ass solider in the UNMC, i don't take shit and most certainly will be abusive and swear at you in game (with reason) but speak to me out of game or irl i will be the nicest person you could meet and would happily buy you a pint (of whisky :p)
