i've seen this lots of time in the server... is this allowed cause it "kills" the role playing...

do i have to send him a txt to land and then shot the pilot?
in order to get 50% tax i have to destroy a heli and kill someone?

I dont want this guy get warned/kicked/banned... i want a "server" side rule about it.
If it is allowed i will find a way to role play with it, but i know most of the time it will bring more bitching about it and it will certainly poor role play... but if its the only way to rob someone i'm willing to follow it.

My honest views on this, yes it does kill the RP.

People selling inside their vehicles removes any chance of a rebel robbing him or taxing him, it can still be done but is much harder.

My best option there is to take out his main rotor with 2-3 bullets, it won't kill him and from that height it won't kill the heli either but he won't be able to go anywhere allowing you to tax him.

So yea don't aim for the pilot, just disable the heli, if you can get the main rotor do it, but if not go for the rear rotor, that's a personal favourite of mine, it puts the heli into an uncontrollable spin and they are forced to land or will crash.

 
He broke no rules. Selling from inside the vehicle can be seen as "unloading the cargo".

If anything you broke RP rules by using tilde to work out who someone is, which is technically against RP rules. You need to make verbal contact and ask for someones names, as cops have been doing alot more lately. Edit: But as you weren't using this for RP, it's a moot point.

As I was in TS with Jimmy at the time aswel, he could see your friend moving up on him, why would he land when he see's an armed dude running towards him?

Yea i this is what i would do just tell him to get out and if he tries to take off shoot out the rotor or the engine :D

 
You do realise choppers have radar, yeah? SO your position was given away already from the offroad.

I then saw your guy (Mike Candy) moving in from the right of me, armed. I waited to see if he chose to communicate at all as I turn the effects right down when in my chopper, to hear voice comms. Figuring I was about to be robbed, I took off, only to return 15 minutes later with some backup and unload my cargo to the trader.

I think by that point you had moved to sitting around the airfield as BBC News spotted you there later on when we were searching for people to interview about the haunted door.

i think that they are more pissed that you got away clean and not become yet another statistic we keep hearing about on the news ... well done that man.

Thing is, if they had have got me, there would be no cameraman to film Reporter Jay's latest stories on Altis.... so there would be no news. Atleast not from the BBC/BRC.

Ghostfire if we wanted to rob him this incident it will end with us having a heli and jimmy dead. but Jimmy is not the point here... (i had to cover his name i guess)

I want to know if this is a "legal" trade, shall we all fly helis and do our jobs like this? is it RP enough for u such thing? i dont care to shoot down a heli i dont like them anyways, flying is boring for me... I prefer hmmt runs.

Can an admin decide about this? if its an offence or not?

Yes ofc it's a legal trade, people do it in cars so what's the difference with a heli, in all honesty though I would still partially consider it RP as he could very well be dropping the cargo out he back, and If you'd like il scratch your big head from here.

You are so full of yourself that if you wanted to rob him you would've, in that video I saw your man moving in to try and rob him and failed because you were spotted ages ago. So stop thinking better than everyone else.

Suspend belief and imagine a thing called a bank transfer!

It's just as realistic as keeping all licenses/training on death. Not everything can be "real". Hell, realistically receiving ~280k in cash for some legal goods is unrealistic.

I'm still confused as to where your notion of it being a bannable offence comes from.

Well he obviously has a contract with Mr. Copper / Iron Trader that Jimmy opens the back hatch and throws the goods out, and in the mean time the trader throws a suitcase in the hatch which is filled with money.

So obvious. :p

Well, when a cargo vehicle comes to a warehouse, it's normally the warehouse staff who will unload the vehicle, whilst the driver has a brew. So trading from within a vehicle is more realistic.

If you want to ask a question, just ask a question rather than posting a needless video in some attempt to stir the shit.

I do believe, trading from a vehicle is acceptable as if it wasn't supposed to be, it would be locked out within the code of altis life.

Regardless, in this case your general shiftiness, lack of voice comms and poor approach was my reason for not landing at the time. I'd been flying for hours and quite fancied stretching my legs but not in the company of bandits who wish to rob/tax hardworking civilians of the legal trade.

Which is why chose the option to fly off and come back 15 minutes later when you have got bored and moved on. I occasionally have sidechat turned off (to stop ear spam), so you're lucky there was any communication with me in game at all, albeit out of character.

No there isn't so it's perfectly fine for now until they make a rule about it.

You can insult me as much as you please, i really don't mind and i wont lower myself to your level as once im there you will win with experience.

On a serious note, a bit of banter is fine, but you know nothing about me and i work for a living and deal with immature and annoying individuals like yourself on a day to day basis so clearly im not just some 14-15 year old kid which im assuming you thought i was.

So next time you plan to make a personal insult get your facts straight as otherwise you look a bit stupid.
