Is selling frog legs illegal?

So when I look at the map I see that the frog swamp is labelled with a red colour, indicating it's illegal. However it does not make sense for frog legs themselves to be illegal and I have heard others say it's only illegal if you turn them into LSD. I am asking because I am in the Police and I don't want to be blacklisted in case it's illegal.
