So for example, Your holding up a cop and he goes quiet n all of a sudden loads of cops arrive. Clearly said "This is Kilo victor whatever, I am being held up at airport need immediate back up" or something along those lines but you do not hear him but in real life you would hear this said cop talk into his radio for back up so is this considered failRP?

Same as rebels who call for backup next to you without any kind of indicator, so it's possible depending on the exact situation that it could be Fail RP. However, take into consideration if you are stood right next to them, they are very unlikely to say that. Police have other ways of calling for backup in much more subtle ways.

When I was talking to the cop he never said anything bar talking about my weapon and when i told him were going to leave now thats when i heard the sirens.

Ive heard plenty of what cops say through there radio such as "Okay im putting my hands up" etc..

I have a pet peeve when it comes to stuff like that. In my opinion it breaks the roleplay. I'd much prefer it if you could hear everything someone was saying. Sort of like when you use Task Force Radio.

It depends on the situation in my opinion

If he said something along the lines of "okay, I'll put my hands on my head." Then he may have said that over the radio, instead of reporting his location. His fellow officers in the same radio frequency probably knew his voice, and then alerted others to the situation.

I personally think that you must talk aloud when talking on ts in front of people. However I have fell short of this at times!

In in terms of role play it should be expected, however in terms of common sense, it's hard to expect people to hot mic every conversation !!!

YoCo :)

I have push to talk on teamspeak and hotmic everything, hotmiced it when he wanted a warning shot n hotmiced it when i asked for back up.

@MA Sir Liam- Yes it is fail RP as you can not talk on your radio without people nearby hearing.

What you need to do in a situation like this is hot mic " why are you armed rebels holding me up at the hanger , im only a SPC". This informs people your being held up and your not giving fail RP by talking on the radio without people hearing.

Does that make sense too you or not?

what if the cop had asked for backup before or if the other cop he was with who was further away from you called for backup ?

I was within 2m of the cop who i was speaking too n i had a member on the CSO he was with. So there was no way of either of them calling for back up.

When cops are near rebels, they need to talk in-game and on Teamspeak as well. This is to keep the RP flow, and not stop it completely. Example if you are standing near rebels and talking to your fellow Officers on scene, you need to do it in-game also. However this is also the case for rebels.
