Inviting to a gang?

Started a gang with my friend and I created it BUT we couldn't get my friend to join/apply and I couldn't send an invite as well. Can someone tell me how it works?

It is rather simple to invite your friend to your in-game gang just follow the steps listed below!

1. At the very top of the Group Panel you should see a section named something along the lines of 'Ungrouped players'
   
2. Click on the dropdown
   
3. Locate your friend
   
4. Click on his name
   
5. Click invite in the bottom right!
