Inventory wipe on house sale

I'm writing this here because I think it needs to be better communicated to the general public to avoid the issues I've had with a house sale as it looks like there is no clear guidance on what is saved from a house move and what isn't. I feel that drawing attention to this is the only way to prevent it happening to anyone else. 

One player cannot own two houses but when a house is sold there is no warning/documentation or wiki guide to say that the furniture will be wiped. 

When a sale goes through all furniture is wiped. The contents of storage units are not wiped but the furniture/benches/beds/wardrobes etc are. So any other items are saved and are fine but anything expensive like work benches will go. 

I'm making this report to try to save others from the same fate as I had and hopefully avoid further compensation requests. The responses in my compensation request give me the impression that this is news to everyone so I'm trying to do the best by all concerned as I believe that this is a bug which needs to be fixed or a warning should be given to the next person who wants to move house. I don't believe I pressed any wrong buttons as there weren't any wrong buttons to press so I'm left with this option to raise awareness of the issue

Not a bug, you don't sell a house, hand over the keys and let the others move in with all your old furniture (sold as part of the house) then come back 2 weeks later asking for that sofa because you liked it and made a mistake.

Nevertheless QOL warning added for something I don't think should need a warning. Stop assuming the server will handle stuff for you.
