Inventories: do they reset?

I've had conflicting answers to this. On the one hand, when I've stored uniforms in vehicles they've been lost on reset. On the other, I came back today to find my van full of aluminium ingots which I had saved last night in the garage. So is it only certain inventories (i.e. the Altis Life (Y/T) one or the Arma (I) one) that reset?

As a followup, I have two different uniforms for when I RP ARAC and when I do my mining/everyday life. Is there a way to keep my backpacks, repair kits etc. without losing them during each reset?

the I inventory resets as soon if you store you vehicle. 

the y inventory save, But only if the items are legal. Like drugs dont save in your vehicle.
