Im new, How do i join?

okay so i just got the game and saw someone do a series on this and im wanting to get into it and have a few questions.

First is their a age restriction to the game seen as im only 15

also how do i join the server and start because it kicks me when i join the server and im not sure where to sighn up and all.

any help would be great, thanks

There are no age restrictions currently set on the server, however it is a mature community so expect some strong language!

If you wish to join the whitelisted factions such as the Police or Medics you will need to be at least 16 years of age. 

Just filter "AltisLife.co.uk" and select one of the three servers that are online. If you are being kicked make sure there are no mods activated on your Arma 3 Launcher!

You have to be whitelisted to play as a Cop or Medic, choose a civillian slot as they are open to everyone.

and most importantly - read all the rules thoroughly at  http://www.altislife.co.uk/rules/ It's the first thing you're told to do when you connect and there's a strict policy. Any rule break leads to a ban (when reported by players or observed by in-game admins) and all bans are permanent and some without appeal!

There's a few new-player guides in the general forum which will help you with controls.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that there is a way to join under 16 to the police force, however you have to gain some sort of recommendation from a certain rank in the police?

Couple of things to add:

You can join the cops under 16 by going here 



You can also join the medics under 16 if your application is of adequate quality so feel free to take either or both or even neither of those paths
