Quick description of what happened:

I was just chilling a little and decided to save my extra gun in the garage because I am not ready to buy a house yet(gonna wait until after the house purge). Only to find out that my car inventory does not get saved.

My car inventory has never gotten saved. If you store a vehicle, it is only the virtually inventory that saves (The weight system inventory).

I guess it is to prevent items being storaged in your garage and therefore being safe from anyone and anything as well as safe item transporting.

Same as aborting with your inventory full of drugs, it disappears to prevent exploit and such.
