Sounds a bit dodgy to be honest, 170 pounds without discount? they probably raised the price drastically a while ago just to make it look cheap with the 74% off headline. It's an ok deal but not nearly as great as it might look at first glance.

Like i said, it's a good deal, the regular price is just completely ridiculous. You shouldn't think you're getting an item worth 170 pounds here, more like 70/80
The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), list price or recommended retail price (RRP) of a product is the price at which the manufacturer recommends that the retailer sell the product. The intention was to help to standardise prices among locations. While some stores always sell at, or below, the suggested retail price, others do so only when items are on sale or closeout/clearance.
This is what amazon are doing here, they're only showing the Old/high RRP on items that are on a major sale to make them seem more attractive.
