How to teamspeak???

Hi all.

I've been playing on the server for a few years now and I've gone on to teamspeak every so often to resolve some arguments or talk out of character.

Normally though I find that Teamspeak detracts from the role play experience and to be honest arma 3 has reasonably good ingame comms anyway.

My main issue with teamspeak and arma is having to tab out and try to juggle ingame comms with teamspeak.

Now when I'm playing windowed games with friends on civ and (don't hate) minecraft it's fine for me. Also on team based games like csgo it's fine. I just find that I'm unnecessarily faffing around when I try to use it with arma.

Am I missing something? Sorry in advance for being a useless old fart.

First off, Just because you feel insecure or confused does not mean you should go and pick on yourself, we all get problems. and we sometimes dont understand them

But well, TS is TS,

You have to tab out in fullscreen mode.

you can buy a second computer monitor and have teamspeak displaying on that one but it is expensive and you need a big desk.

So yeah either you run arma on windowed or like i said get a second screen

what you can do is install overwolf, this will mean you don't have to tab out of the game to open up teamspeak you just press the hotkey and teamspeak will pop up over arma. It's best to do this when you pause the game otherwise you can't move the mouse

Just be aware. If you run an Nvidia GPU and use shadowplay and overwolf, They can cause problems with eachother. I used to have frequent game crashes using both, so i dropped overwolf. I'd also use voice activation for mic usage with a push to mute on the caps key (if you haven't done this already).

If you don't have multiple monitors, then overwolf is your best bet. I have never really used it - it didn't tickle my pickle. If I remember correctly it came with a few handy features, the overlay, fps counter and I think a screen recording software ? Don't quote me on the last one though! Definitely worth a go if you have not tried it.

EDIT: Why not try arma 3 in windowed mode ?

if you can be bothered to spend the time setting up custom commands, this is very useful.

I made one for ALUK ages ago, whether the same keybinds are in use I have no idea, But it was great for the sirens etc in ambulances. - its easy enough to make your own around what you want.
