How to request ARAC

Hello dear readers,

As a regular player of the ARAC I get many calls. I usually have no problems with this, as locations are included and people can use common sense sometimes. However, In some cases this doesn't happen and it will result in this: http://prntscr.com/7jbub0

In this case the ARAC can't assist you, even if you message 5 times. (believe me, some do this) So here is a quick overview of what you should do when you have vehicle problems and how to make the job as easy and fast as possible for us:

1: If you crash/loose wheels in the middle of the road, try to get it off the road for the safety of other road users.

2: If you have the vehicle off the road or in another safe position, get out of the vehicle, move away from it (about 10 meters) and call the ARAC. (Y>mobile>emergency>request ARAC). This is where most people go wrong. Here's a basic list of what to include in your message to give the best info possible:

-Include your GRIDREF by checking a small box a bit above the message.

-If you are close to a town/city, please say so in the message. This will make pinpointing your exact location easier. If you are stranded in the middle of nowhere, please give clear landmarks if possible.

-Give a brief overview of the situation. E.g. the amount of vehicles involved, vehicle details (colour, model etc.), vehicle(s) location (in the middle of the road/In a ditch etc.) and if people have injuries.

-Most ARAC members will sent a message to you if you respond to your call. If your situation changes. (e.g. your vehicle gets repaired by someone else, please tell us!)

Following these basic rules can improve our response times greatly and get you on the road as fast as possible.

Thank you for reading this,
