how to play in altis?

Im assuming you know how to get onto arma etcc so i will speed up my answer, Click on Filter and type in Altislife.co.uk , you will see three servers up at the moment when you click on a server that isnt full when loading in you will see on the left side BLUFOR, Independant and Civillian. To play as BLUFOR and independant you need to be whitelisted but for Civillian you do not. Click on Civillian and you will be allowed in.

@scott_19_ As everyone else has covered joining, you may want to familiarise yourself with the rules of the server, as this can stop some early on accidents with breaking them.
http://www.altislife.co.uk/rules/ The main rules that you have to keep an eye out for when first joining is the RDM (Not killing people randomly) Green/Blue zones ( safe areas were you cannot steal/rob/kill in) VDM (Using your car/truck as a weapon) and breaking RP in voice.
As your new to arma I can guess your new to Altis life. To get some info check out these guides from members of the community and get to grips with the basics.
When on the server there are many things to do, people to meet and places to go. I'd recommend thinking about what you want to do. If you are unsure I'd recommend the police/NHS. They are good for players who have good RP skills and they generally don't come at much risk. Plus the money is guaranteed.
But if you want to earn it big you can join/start a gang. They can do legal or illegal actives. But are subject to robbers from other gangs/people and if doing illegal items the police.
