Hello my friend! Must agree with you the game and this community are a lot of fun!
Fristly, you'll need to own Arma 3 which can be bought on the Steam Store or on G2A.com with the promo code LIFE.
Secondly, and probably most importantly, to play on this server you will have to read and understand the rules .
Thirdly, Open Arma 3 - Click Play - Click Multiplayer - Click Filter - Type Altislife.co.uk (Next to HOST) - Pick a server to join and click on it.
And to help you get started there's one or two guides you can look through here and here .
As well as a couple of starter videos by @Stoneman and @Unlucky George
