Sorry if this has been answered someone, I just can't find it :)

How long until vehicles get cleaned up with the new cleanup script? I need to know if I'll have long enough to leave a tempest device at the mine, thanks :)

15 minutes since last interaction (ie since you last sat in the vehicle). You receive a warning 2 minutes prior to it being cleaned up to remind you.

When it says "Interaction" does opening an inventory, attempting to open it or even trying to pick lock it count?

It depends on what type of action it is, for info on the system please check the development blog, where the times are listed.

Full details are here:

RPUK Vehicle Cleanup Script - This new script works based on the time since the vehicle was last used / interacted with. For each type of interaction a different amount of time is added before cleanup:

You will be notified two minutes before your vehicle will be cleaned up via a chat message.

You will be notified when one of your vehicles gets cleaned up.

You will be notified when someone interacts with your vehicle if it is on it's 2 minute delete notice (mentioned above).

Times are as follows:

Vehicle Spawned - New vehicles just spawned will have a 2 minute timer on before they disappear, this means that hobos will be less able to hold up you taking your vehicles out. This applies to all spawn points, be rented/purchased cars or garages.

First member enters a vehicle / last member exits vehicle - 15 minute delay before cleanup.

Occupied - If the vehicle is occupied when the cleanup script runs (every 2 minutes), then the vehicle will have a 10 minute delay until cleanup.

Inventory Interaction - If the vehicle virtual inventory is used, the vehicle will have a 10 minute delay added before cleanup. The vehicle will always skip cleanups while the inventory is open (in case you have the inventory open for 10+ minutes, in order to prevent exploits). This 10 minute delay will also be added when the vehicle inventory is closed.

Generic Interaction - Windows key menu is operated, anyone can do this on your car, 5 minute delay until cleanup. (TBJ EDIT - now includes lockpicking, and toggling your doorlocks with U-Key)

Last Driver Died - When the last person in the drivers seat dies, and the vehicle is in 1km of the death zone, the vehicle receives a 15 minute cleanup delay, designed to allow the player to return in 'NLR bypass' events defined in the rules. This will only happen once - meaning dying twice unless you have got in the drivers seat in between will not extend the time again - even if you are back in range.

I had a Truck, filled with weed... It was processed and ready for selling. I drove it to Kavala, and then i needed to shit. Like for real. It took way more than 15 minutes, which means my truck went into heaven..

-The interaction time, should be increased tho'.

I don't see why this means that it should be increased. Rule 2.10 states that if you leave for more than 5 minutes then you should really be disconnecting in any case, 15 minutes is more than enough if noone has interacted with it at all

As the saying goes... and was never more apt than this moment:

"tough shit!"
