Im waiting for Work to get over so i can Watch hobos roam the streets of Kavala later.

 
Had a job interview, 4th stage with the board of an organisation I'm maybe going into. 

Was a very hard interview which started badly due to my nerves, but got better as I went along. Always tough a crowd asking tough questions, just hope my responses were equally as hard hitting? 

Fingers crossed. 

Relaxing with a latte now, reflecting.

Spent most of day waiting on hard disks decrypting and telling people:

"I'll let you know when it's done. You dont have to wait around"

"It's still not done, I already said i'd let you know when it finishes"

"It's still going. Coming around and asking me if its done wont speed it up"

No I tell people to piss off, I cant stand it when people lurk.

ok, I dont actually say that, I just sit there looking at them making them feel awkward till they leave. Mind you I don't have any of that now, my biggest issues are language barriers and trawling server logs in russian :/;

The person even left but just kept coming round. I could tell it was them by the sound of their walk and I'd just loudly say "Still installing, I'll let you know as soon as its done!"

Even worse is people who come round and just start talking AT you, not to you, no Hi or Hello, just immediately launch into some problem and how it's major (its always major, no one says they have a minor problem) and then since you dont turn round to them, since you're you know - actively working on something - they then go "Uhhh. Hello?!?! I'm talking to you!"

"oh, well it probably helps if you say my name, or send it in to the helpdesk".

Now people come round and i let them explain all their problem and say "Have you sent it in to the helpdesk, or called the Service Desk?". They dont seem to get I dont do Tier 1 anymore. I made myself TOO available at the start :(

Oh sorry, I was quite busy I didn't notice you there.

Headphones can be very helpful in this situation. Maybe people just avoid me in general :/

No joke he finished up his last visit with "So is thing going to be done by 5? (at 4:30) you're fucking keeping me here"

I just said again "I'll let you know when it finishes"

 
You can start ignoring them at that point !!

You would be amazed at how effective staring at people is, they tend to just faulter afte about 12 seconds of talking and then wander off after about 20, they feel very uncomfortable returning as well :)
