Ensure all mods are disabled.
open arma 3>play>multiplayer>filter> in the host section type 'altislife.co.uk'>in the game type section select 'role playing game'>OK> select any of the 3 role playing servers and join a CIV slot. These are purple and don't require whitelisting. Join and feel free to play. I must remind you to read the rules though!
If you fancy browsing the announcements section on the forums you'll find the download link for the custom ALUK launcher which enabled you to connect directly to the servers. Just ensure you have steam open
