how do i join from group page

sorry if this is a stupid question but how do i join from the group page because every time i click it just pops up an alert do i have to join it from the arma3 game

You need to specify what you mean. Join what? What group page? When writing in Questions and Answers forum, try to be as specific as you can with your question, and give as much relevant information as possible - this way other members can quickly and more easily respond and help you. You mentioned an alert, what does this alert say? Nonetheless, I will try to help you as best as I can with your information that you supplied.

In-Game Groups: If you mean in-game groups such as gangs, mafias and business groups, you need to be invited by whoever can invite in that specific group. Please note that you are not allowed to metagame players (in this case look at the group name under their player name)  to find a member of the specific group you are looking to join. You need to find this out via roleplay. If you want to take the easy route, you can simply find their forum profile and message them. Also, most in-game groups have a recruitment page here on the forums, go take a look! https://www.roleplay.co.uk/forum/267-rebels-gangs/

Whitelisted Factions: There are 3 whitelisted factions, Police, NHS and UNMC. You need to apply here on the forums to be able to join these. I will supply you with links that direct you to the application for each whitelisted faction. But before you apply, you really should read abit on what it means to be in these factions and what is required of you if you were to join. Please note, UNMC is not an apply and join faction, they have to contact you if you are of intrest to them. 

If you apply to any of these factions, good luck! I really recommend joining one of them, as it gives some great structured play scenarios and you will get a lot of new roleplay opportunities.

Forum Groups: If what you ment is forum groups, you simply have to go onto that groups forum page, and if they accept people to join, you can press "Join Group". Here you can find the forum groups: https://www.roleplay.co.uk/groups/?sort=members

 my bad for not specifying what i meant. when i said the group page i meant via the Roleplayuk main  page when i click join from the altis life 1 or 2 the steam notification  comes up i don't know if i have to put the IP into something i hope this is a bit more useful arma join.PNGarma q.PNG

I see! Okay, so what you ment is the different servers, not "groups". Roleplay.co.uk has of right now 2 servers, Altis Life 1 and Altis Life 2. Its basically the same server, but still 2 different so that when one is full, others can join the other server. I see how you can confuse this with some kind of group. 

However as to solving your problem; I have never used that feature. If you are not able to join the server by pressing "Join Game" on that window in your second picture, please follow these steps to join the server.

  1. Open up Arma 3, make sure you run it without any mods installed
  2. Click Multiplayer on the top bar, then Server Browser
  3. You will now see 4 options on the top, Quick Play, Servers, Direct Connect and Host Server. Make sure you are on Servers.
  4. Next you will see 5 options; Recent, Friends, Official Servers, Lan and Internet. Make sure you are on Internet.
  5. Almost at the bottom of the screen you will see Filter and Refresh. Press Filter.
  6. When you are in Filters, enter the information as I have done here

  8. Click OK. Now, if both servers are online, they will pop up.
  9. Join one of the servers, disconnect and join the other. This will save the server and you can quickjoin it at any later time.
  10. Whenever you want to join the server again, you simply have to click Recent instead of Internet in step 4. Now all the recent server you have played on will pop up here and you can simply join through there. 
If you already knew how to do this; I'm sorry for explaining it to you like you were a child 😂 But if this was your problem, happy to help! If you have any further questions, ask! Feel free to also message me on the forums or TeamSpeak if you have any questions.

As for the bar that you can click on when the "alert window" comes up, I'd recommend not using it as if the server was to be full, you could not use this to spamclick your way onto the server. Use the steps I provided instead.
