How do gang name tags work?

I've seen people around who have their normal name above their head, but underneath that is a gang name or something.

Anyone know how you get that?

By being invited in to a gang, you should have 'Fear Company' below your name, as you are in our gang.

If you're in a gang, you have the same thing.

The only thing is that you cannot see you're own gangs tag.

Ahh, not played as a rebel yet since the new update, and I mostly keep my tags off.

You may purchase your own gang for £75,000. You can then invite up to 8 people...or 7 (to make 8 total). They are rather handy as they allowed you to make purchases through gang funds rather than cash, so makes it rather safe when shopping. You can add funds to your gang via a cashpoint. 

Another way as mentioned above is to be invited to a gang.
