We have taken several police hostages through out the last few days but each time we do so, the police seem to not want to meet our demands, is there a set limit as to how much each police rank is worth before they will refuse (I am aware civilians are 50K max) or are the police just being stubborn? 

 
From my POV it looks like lives arent worth so much atm. We had 2 SPC's hostage once and they offered 50k for both not exactly sure I was not the one doing the negotiations but yea nonetheless it's kinda ridiculous.

The problem is, there is no pot of money to pay demands with, so designated people would have to pay out of their own pocket to get an officer back and if they consistently paid up, there would be CONSTANT hostage taking so that people could get money. It would be more beneficial for the cops to try and RP out of it and then shoot because they can still be valuing life while not meeting demands if the situation is handled correctly, and it costs them nothing out of pocket.

If you go for reasonably low demands and RP it exceptionally well, there are certainly plenty of cops who will pay up, but if you just say "we have you hostage now, give us 200k per officer or they're dead" then they probably just won't bother.

Try and make it worth the police's time to RP with you and they will happily pay!

In my experience, I've held cops hostage and demanded handguns and ridiculous demands, but if you make it unique and interesting, they generally are happy to comply.

sometimes it is best to leave the single officer if the people that have him hostage are out numbering us or trying to get the officer thats hostage safe will jeopardize more officers

 
To be honest if you want good RP then don't sell the cops back! I'm always looking for good Roleplay.
