I have read a thread that was on about rp at the treasury and I remember a comment that @Kris! Where he posted the following

The problem is, we've had large meetings and discussions about how to improve RP at banks, we just feel it falls to the same thing, if we play it fair game and role play the entire bank, you might as well remove it as every time we do it, the police will pull something out of a bag and ensure their victory with little remorse than a "GG good role play" via Teamspeak. If Police were willing to lose more, more role play would take place at the bank.
I'm just curious if it is in fact fine to text the police in advance and warn them if the try to surround the compound they will be killed, as after the way my first attempt went I can see why Ti don't want to roleplay with them,

All that needs to be said about the robbery gone wrong by my gang is that we negotiated with an officer who I told to tell the other officers to stop surrounding us and moving in on my team to which they obviously didn't so my friend took a single warning shot which didn't hit anyone and I explained that to the negotiator and he said as long as there wasn't another shot it was fine,

we were coming to the deal I could take what we had in a truck we wouldn't be persuaded as long as my friend left his ifrit behind, I said at the same time he would leave his vehicle and the truck would move to leave the bank, I counted from 3 for the move to take place and then we were all shot.

I spoke to police superiors on ts about it as I believed I hadn't been restrained and just knocked out then shot, I didn't end up uploading the video as all it shows is Caitlin restrained me, she died and the cuffs came off, my gun was on my back however when PC VAL BLACK shot me dead. But when I spoke to them regarding the negotiations I just got a load of cock and bull excuses as to why they killed us.

I had no idea that negotiations had failed as the officer negotiating had simply lied the whole time and said all was fine up until we were shot. I'd personally next time rather skip the negotiations as all that is, is time for police to stall to get into positions which was pointed out by a police superior.

Regarding if negotiations were to happen again, I think leniency should be shown regarding shooting outside the compound, as whilst negotiations were going on police were actively moving in on my men even though they had been warned not To, but what I get from what @Vladic Ka stated on that same thread, if he killed one of them after they had been warned because it's outside the compound and negotiations were going on thats RDM and he'd be banned?

A simple yes or no to whether I can text the police and say stay away or be shot is all I'm looking for, Police I don't want essays from you lot arguing this thread or the events I speak of, this is just a general question.

Many thanks all

I'll comment as I'm from TI - as I understand it - and I'm certainly not Vladic Ka (thank god ;) ), you have to negotiate now and a text message won't cut it.

The RP you get depends on what you put in I guess, some members from TI recently RP'd a viral outbreak and managed to get 10 bars (although they did it for the RP not the cash as it took the best part of 2hrs).

In regards to killing police during negotiations - if you are VERY clear and RP it as such - we have killed police who have defied our wishes during negotiation, this isn't RDM as there are clear warnings given to the negotiator and when they have not complied (as with anywhere else) you may open fire. But always back this up with more RP, explain to them why you killed the officer, offer remorse etc. Otherwise you'll get the "negotiations are over" and at that point it's going to go back to shooty shooty time.

I will also offer a tip, get a hellcat in the air with a co-pilot (but be prepared for a ghosthawk!).

Yeah, see in my scenario I fully role played for 40 minutes and never was I told negotiations were over, I I was lied to.

Maybe the rules surrounding treasury robberies should be updated to reflect the not being allowed to text police in advance,

Bank jobs don't work. I'm sorry but they just don't.

If you start a bank job and expect RP you're gonna have a hard time. You are commiting a major crime against everyone in Altis. The Police don't want to let that happen.

If you text Police beforehand. Any sort of negotiations are off, we'll just try kill you. Harsh, but you've pretty much ended any attempts in that text.

If you want to actually RP the treasury, you'll have to speak to an Officer beforehand and set up a realistic scenario in which you need access to the Gold and the Police will actually work with you and protect you.

Basically. If you want to RP a treasury heist it will work, but it will be tough. If you manage to negotiate something it will be somewhat bitter sweet for Police because they've let you get away with x amount and feel they haven't done their job correctly. What you need to do is create a situation in which the Police aren't allowing criminals to steal from the treasury, instead they are helping a team of people out and protecting them whilst they complete their work with the Gold.

It sounds a bit dodgy...but I've attended around 4/5 treasury heists now that have been fully RPd and successful.

4 of those were set up beforehand with gangs coming to either myself or another Officer, explaining a situation and how they needed Police to assist them in it.

The 5th one had Police waiting at the bank before an attempted heist and we pretty much forced RP upon them with our presence. Great fun, but Rebels won't view it as Police trying to force RP, they'll see it as Police camping the bank and ruining fun for the rebels like we always do...

What I believe is - There is quite a lack of trust between Rebel and Police, that's why negotiations can be tough. Police want to gain control over the situation and Rebels view that as a threat, so it is hard to find the balance. With these "premade" situations, you have the teams working together very nicely. You are giving control to the Police who are then using that to ensure you get to do your job and get to the gold, because it is not viewed as an illegal activity, it is viewed as whatever situation you are clever enough to come up with.

Just remember. If you want to set up an RP bank event. Don't be greedy. If you want a successful one, you'll usually agree with Police how much Gold you'll need for whatever it is you're carrying out. If you are found with more, it's not gonna end well.
