High Quality Streaming

Has anyone got any recommendations for some high quality streaming platforms? I have seen Twitch but the Twitch stream has a terrible bitrate and just isn't too great in quality. I am considering just setting up my own RTMP server using nginx on my testing vmware server to do the stream but of course wanted to see if there was any solutions already knocking about. I have full gigabit upload and download streams so bandwidth is not a problem for me.

What do you need this for, if you setup your own RTMP server you won't exactly get many viewers for a normal stream

The YouTube game streaming was recently released, you could give that a go

Intention isn't to get public viewers, just some private ones who want to watch some stuff.

Might give the Youtube one a go as Simon suggested though. Hopefully they do 1080 or 1440p streams.
