Welcome. Yes you can jump straight in as you don't need to be whitelisted apart from the police and NHS and UNMC!

Read the rules cover to cover, not just a quick glace. Make sure you understand them all.
Download Teamspeak 3 and join ts.altislife.co.uk, this makes it much easier if you are playing with others, or if something should happen you can get in touch with the mentors easily
That's it you're ready to go! When you jin the server be sure to select the purple CIV slot and join any of the slots there. This is a great community and any of the long-standing members here will happily welcome you in to the fold. If I can say one thing - don't rush in to getting a gun straight away! Observe and see how others play, pick a profession and try to make some money!
