Right, I rest my PC to factory settings, when it finished its asking for the password to get onto windows, problem is, its asking for the password of the Person who owned my PC be4 me, is their a way I can get past this?

You need to make a disc which you need to download something onto a disc put it in and then reset the password.

Well if you have the windows key, the 25ish digit, you can make a bootable flash drive and reinstall windows.

Don't have the windows key, I have access to another computer and I know there's software to reset passwords but I need a link or name of said software

Right,now I've got a boot up disc but when I use it ,its like its going back to windows xp and my mouse and keyboard stop working, any advice guys

Unless you can get in touch with the owner and reset it, my only suggestion would be to install a new copy of windows onto the HDD. Keep the old installation so you can then take any of your files out and put them onto your new installation.

You should not need to reinstall windows. The windows password is NOT encrypted so you can use linux variants on a USB such as Hirens boot CD to obtain iy or change it. Google it (newer windows may encrypt it but im sure its not. Either way it can be reset.)
