I am by far from a computer geek, but i know the basics etc etc etc, and the last two days my computer has done my abosolute head in with constant frame rate drops and it's really affecting my Roleplay on AltisLife. ANY tips or tricks to achieve an overall frame performance that work would mean so much..

computer info:

8GB ddr3 RAM

GEFORCE 750Ti

GEFORCE 650Ti

Intel core i5 3.4 Ghz

Windows 8.1 pro

500gb SSD

Any advice on how to get a better performance etc would be MUCH appreciated and i would love you eternally.

So which GPU do you have?

Both? Well, there's your problem, you can't SLI those two cards.

I assume you are using the 650ti for Psyx?

What settings are you currently playing on? How bad is the frame drops? are we talking 5 fps but a lot of stuttering or talking 10+ fps?

@crazyone  yes 650 ti is for physx. I run:

Sampling: 100%

Texture: Standard

Objects: High

Terrain: Standard

Shadow: Standard

Particles: Standard

Cloud: Low

Pip:Low

HDR: Standard

Dynamic lights:Low

all post processes are diabled, bar sharpening filter at 55 and Aniso filtering on Low

@crazyone Although when i done an update for my drivers i didn't realise it had disabled 650Ti running physx, so it was running perfect without it on. Been atleast 2 days since i noticed and changed it back now my frames are back to sucking.

if your CPU is a K rated cpu then overclock that bitch to 4.5ghz and use a custom cooler ;)

@crazyone Yeah it wasn't half as bad, was getting solid 25 FPS in Kavala and around 40 outside cities.

@ intel core i5 3.4GHZ, i don't know how to overclock my bitch;)....

How is your AA settings?

View distance?

Try and optimize the game with ge-force experience? :)

then u can see youtube for easy tutorials. its very easy, 2 minutes in the BIOS and job done.

@crazyone all disabled besides aniso. filtering which is set to low. and visibility is set to 3000, object 2600 and shadows 100

@ trying that now mate:)

@Samat_000 Watch out with overclocking, it might ruin your cpu...

You can change some launch parameters for Arma which people say have granted them everything from 5-20+ in fps boosts, I've tried my self and haven't seen much change, but who's to say it wont work for you? :)

I haven't watched this video through entirely, but I tried it at one point and saw a slight increase in fps, not much but hey, small bits here and there adds up ;)

There is also softwares out there which will boost your games up, I have no idea if it works, some people say it does? I've never used it my self :)

I dont think I got much more about this now? tried to disable the 650ti?

Ruin the CPU.... practically impossible to ruin an Intel cpu, unlile the AMD cpus that will literally explode when overclocked too high. Intel cpus just wont boot, and tbh youre silly not to overclock a K rated intel cpu as they OC so well, 50% OC is a cake walk for some.

So I recommend finding your cpu model number, for e.g. it could be a 2600K, then goto YouTube and search for <2600K> overclocking guide or which ever cpu you have (aslong as its K rated with an unlocked multiplier) if its not K rated then OC is not worth it.

Also get a small cpu temp monitoring program like Real Temp GT to keep an eye on the temps. :)
