help me choose a new keyboard

What do you use it for? Do you like mechanical keyboards? What's your budget? Do you use your number pad?

 
no no no imstyle razer keyboards are utter shit

get a K70 Lux, with red or brown switches, top quality keyboard!

 
Currently have the "Razer Deathstalker"* Great keyboard, my typing speed has even gone up using that KB. It's not mechanical so expect some diehard gaming nerd to splode out and explain how cherryMX keys with custom springs are so much better, but if you can deal with that every now and then. It's cheap looks great, good quality its quiet (so mega useful, now my mice clicks are louder than my keyboard). Also your not that dickhead who's clattering keyboard is pissing everyone off on TS as you bitch and whine how you lost but they must be hacking cause you have super pro MLG gear.

p.s. I got the really cheap one without all the fancy OLED stuff.

*at no point have i been stalked to death by my keyboard with a razor

If you're looking for a gaming keyboard, you probably want to go with a Cherry MX Red Switch or equivalent. Razer gear is okay, but at the same time, there's much better brands out there.

I highly suggest QPAD to anyone that asks about keyboards. Fantastic quality and they feel great. The only drawback is their wrist wrest has annoying connections (little plastic things) and, if you move your keyboard around a lot (LANs and whatnot), I found that they broke off.

I wanted a mechanical keyboard but choose not to due to noise.

I settled for the Corsair K40. Mechanical feel but membrane quietness. Fair trade off.

 
thanks guys im looking at the razer chroma, i like the loud typing sound and i have a mic setup to not to pick up as much clicking sound as possible, thankyou all for your advice though, i am truely greatful for it

You could always get Cherry MX Red. I have those and my mic doesn't pick it up at all.

Get a backlit one. They are the best and looks good too :D
