Why does nobody take advantage of NVME !?!?!?!?

A regular SSD on a SATA III bus provides a read/write speed typically around 500MB a sec. a PCI-E SSD runs through a different bus which is much faster, providing speeds of up to 3.5GB a sec. 7x faster.

They are rather expensive.

Sorry Lionel you're right. Though they're more commonly referred to then as just an M.2 SSD with PCIE being reserved for ones that use the PCI-E slots :)

@Finchyy that should be a nice speedy boost. Use a 2.5" ssd for the OS, and the m.2 for everything else intensive? (capacity pending ofcourse) and the mechanical drive for anything else!
