"He was my friend"

Right, so we all know the good old defense talk when you kill somebody without RP,

"He was my friend"

Now and then we all encounter certain enemies in game and engange in a fight or aggressive talk and out of the sudden get sniped/or shot, when trying to find what happenend the person usually says "he was my friend"

I for certain call this bullshit and strongly believe this must be removed as a strong defense against the person you are probably going to report because usually this is actually accepted as poor/weak RP and the person gets away with it.

I have seen this tactic incrased regarding gang activities, most of us take RP serious and dont even play with nametags or if played long enough you tend to ignore it, and when you end up with a gang fight boom dead by a third party, when you want to report the player, "it was my friend/in my gang" 

I would like to see how many of my fellow ALUK players believe this should be formed into some kind of rule or give back some constructive criticism so i fully understand what i'm trying to create here.

It depends on the situation in my opinion.

Lets say 2 Marmite Miner guys are rolling around with someone else, we're all RP'ing together.

Someone comes in and starts robbing / shooting the Marmite Miners.

Given that the third party was part of the role play from the beginning, I'd say its perfectly legitimate for that person to defend us and shoot the person firing at us.

HOWEVER....

If this third party was not role playing with us and was just in the nearby area, and killed the person shooting at us without role playing first, then technically I see that as RDM. As they we're not part of the situation at all that led to the shooting and just happened to be in the area.

I agree, this "It was my friend" bullshit doesn't hold up anymore, if you're in a firefight with someone and then the other part of the firefight calls in backup whom flanks you and then you're taken out fair game, but im tired of this BS as an excuse to rp
