I wouldn't really say it's an upgraded Dayz. Dayz is pushed to th the more realistic side of things. H1z1 has more of a cartoony feel to it. I was going to get this game today, but I think I want to wait w little longer for it to get developed. I want to see if it turns out as bad as dayz first. However I'm glad it's optimised

 
Will try it .... mixed feelings about it, Will it replace DayZ ?.... maybe with development but not with those graphics.. Its looking too much like miscreated for me.

 
I gotta do a podcast with a dude tonight and this is one of the topics we are covering. i'm more excited about dying light but I really want H1Z1 to be great. I'm bound to buy the fucking thing either way. Miscreated was a sack of shit.

im going to watch streams on it at 6/7 then decide from there onwards, wish they would put a uk price out

Something a mate of mine has cooked up. He does a Youtube channel called Blayde gaming and he is gonna have a bit of a round up of 2014 with some chick called Vixen and a dude called Bruzur. No idea who they are but should be a laugh. Gonna have to do a bit of research though! 

 
Dayz is much better for me I spent 246 Hours on Dayz I will buy this but I don't think this will be better than Dayz

If the zombies don't run through walls and closed doors... and if there are more than one functional vehicle then H1Z1 wins for me.  :D

this looks like that game that was a quicker cash grab then dayz was it WarZ? 

ill end up falling for it and buying it though

 
might not get it but if it get released on !@#$, i might just get it then other then that i will wait

I already own about 5 games that are trying to be what DayZ mod was but they're all equally terrible. I don't see what H1Z1 brings to the table apart from worse graphics.

DayZ is amazing but it's simply coming along too slowly. You'll have to go a long way to find a game that plays and looks as smooth but the issues. Man... The issues. It's never quite felt ready and they keep adding pointless shit whilst avoiding big problems like zombie collision. 

I've fallen for buying a few open world survival games and being massively disappointed. If H1Z1 is under £20 then I will get it but I hope it's further along the development scale than DayZ was / still is. 

I always end up on ArmA 3 mods that deliver better gameplay but the mechanics are shocking because it's ArmA 3.

Yeah i feel exactly like what you've just described, having came from DayZ Arma 2 to the standalone, i really enjoyed it, but like you said, its progressing to slowly, the way the game is now content wise, i would have expected better than that on release.

If H1Z1 delivers some fun, scary open world gameplay with a sense of actual survival where you can find lots of different items to use then i'll be happy.
