Well, I bought GTA today I got it from a well known CD key selling website. CJS CD-Keys but only to find out that it was not a steam key but a Rockstar key. and you have to download the game through Rockstar servers. and through Social Club.  I was wondering if anyone else had this kinda problem, The thing is I really wanted it for steam not sure if there is going to be a way around this.

Dont think so.... Should of paid the extra and got it from steam, I know the Shadow had to do this so ill link him this post to see if he did find a way.

Ok thanks, I would have. It was stupid of me just to assume these things.. :S

 
There is no difference from steam and rockstar, you can still add the game to steam by the add non steam game feature.

problem is downloading it from rockstar servers is very bad, mine kept dropping to 150kb/s on parts of the download.

 
I have it from the rockstar servers. Just download if from Rockstar, it will work just fine... You can also add games to your Steam Library, so theres a possible fix for you
