I arrived about a week ago and have already set up a mining business.  I would have to say staying alive here is rather difficult as the first day I was here I had my truck full of apple cider stolen.  When i reported it to the cops they told me they were not here to prevent crime but to only chase some UNMC guys so don't come to them with problems.  This was by some high ranking cop too.  The next day I was driving my friends mining truck back to Kavala and got held up on the road by the UNMC guys.  They took my truck and sold my payload and tossed it in the ocean.  At least the insurance was able to replace it for my friend.  For some reason though, those UNMC guys all seem to be calling me by name even though we had never met before, makes me wounder what kind of stuff they are running for that.  So after that I started a mobile hot food stand business and that goes alright.  I keep loosing employees though, even with the company policy of "comply with every thing asked" they end up getting executed any ways.

My friend has already left the island due to local laws not even being enforced and the quality of life here not being as it was hyped to be.  My self, I am a bit more patient and hopefully I will find something more fulfilling.  Otherwise I might just have to toss in the towel and catch a plane on out of here as well.  Just a bit more time first of course.

To be honest, I'm amazed you had such a bad experience with the UNMC. They don't just rob people transporting legal runs and definitely don't break server rules (you imply metagaming)

A couple of questions for you:

1. Are you sure they were UNMC and weren't imposters? I know most of the guys in UNMC pretty damn well and they come to roleplay so I would be disgusted if I saw them doing what you describe. Wearing masks and claiming to be UNMC or wearing the white and black uniform?

2. If they were definitely UNMC, who were they? If they were metagaming as you describe, feel free to record it and metagaming back (for the purpose of acquiring their names to report the situation)

3. I'm equally surprised a cop would be quite that blunt with you so I'm going to have to be little sceptical and assume we are missing some detail here... All members of police and UNMC use TeamSpeak and are reachable on there if you want to discuss any of this or if anything else happens that is similar in the future. If you are fairly representing what happened, some people would certainly like to know who it was that caused you these issues!

Do you have any evidence of this? Because to be quite honest this doesn't sound like UNMC at all, considering we have a unit set up with the sole purpose of protecting legal runs? The allegations you have made here are pretty serious , as leader of UNMC I hand picked every single member along with my fellow generals and to be honest this doesn't sound like something any of them would do, so yeah, if you could provide any evidence so I can deal with those involved that would be great .

My initial greeting was to be in character as best as i could.  As for proof of if this was truly UNMC, I don't keep recording as I don't have an NVIDIA card so shadow play can't be used.  Using FRAPS kills performance, and als takes up about 40gigs for 5 minutes of a video, sucking up a hard drive real fast if I saved all my play time.  As for if it was UNMC, I don't remember the tags as I do my best to not pay attention to them because of meta gaming stuff.  But I do know they were all geared up in desert camo stuff and heavy guns.  Had a road block and a bunch of guys.  Only had one get with in range to see his name but this was over a week ago at this point and I do not remember his tag.  But he did introduce him self as UNMC as he said "We are the most notorious group on this island, we are the UNMC, have you not heard of us?"

I also consider that first encounter just a fluke as I keep hearing great things about the UNMC.  I have actually been actively looking for the UNMC in game so I can experience some true role play as many of the gangs do the bare minimum to get by the "low RP" thresh hold.  With this being said, it would not surprise me if one of the other gangs was impersonating your group.  I used to have the footage of the incident but I had deleted it because of limited space and just because my name was known I didn't think warranted reports or people getting into trouble over.

As for the officers being blatant about them only concerned about the UNMC, and not worried about my friends or my self getting robbed and needing to find our own way to protect our selves.  Ya, that was pretty shitty.  One of the contributing reasons why my friend stopped playing on the server.  I am still here though and trying to find that RP that I keep hearing exists.  I am sure I will find it, I just need to learn more about the culture of the server.  Each server is unique in how people react to situations.  I think the largest challenge is that the server isn't a white listed server so you get many people here just looking to have people to troll or those who haven't read the rules of the server so they don't know what is going on, or just claim that.

If they weren't wearing our white and black uniform it wasn't us... Simple impersonators trying to give us a bad name. You can only wear UNMC uniform if you are a UNMC member so you can tell it wasn't us. Glad you've generally heard good stuff about us otherwise though XD
