Greetings! Usually when I do an intro thread on a forum I usually use the whole "Yes I'm British!" thing to my advantage because of the whole accent thing; it's a great ice breaker. But obviously that won't work here.
Hi! I'm noms, real name is Aaron and I'm an indie games and website developer from just west of London. *cough* slough *cough*. I come to Roleplay.co.uk from the RGN community, where I was the head developer and head administrator for the majority of its short lifespan, however fundamental issues with the management of that community (power mongering, mismanagement, the founders just doing whatever they pleased heedless of the community) lead me to take the decision to leave. I considered retiring from SQF development, Altis, and Arma 3 entirely for a long while but the reason I became their head developer in the first place was because I wanted to help make Altis Life better; and I loved playing Altis Life.
Which is what brings me here - it's british, it's populated, it actually has competant management (from what I've seen so far), and the police force seem to actually know what they're doing - which is a far cry from what I was used to!
I have already become a CSO within the police force and plan on continuing throug hthe ranks to become an SPC, at which point I'll probably want to just stay there because I'm a busy guy and I don't need all the extra paperwork in my life!
That being said - if any of the developers/leaders of this community read this - my skills as a developer for both Arma 3 SQF and Website are at your disposal should you wish to utilize them; I already have a few ideas that I would like to suggest in your suggestions area - complete with my own code implementation so you'd have to little to no work ^^
Long life story short, here I am, ready to mingle, and I hope to see many of you on the streets of Altis soon!
