Hi folks,

Recently FFsplit has been acting up and wont run a capture for more than 2 seconds without breaking and telling me to check the debug log. Does anyone know of any good alternatives for screen/mic capturing?

I've got a GTX 660 but I could never manage to get shadowplay to work for some reason. Seems set up perfectly but doesn't seem to acknowledge the record keys 

 
OBS can use NVENC which is the part of your GPU that does video encoding, the same shadowplay uses, except, it's OBS, so a lot more freedom for you. Freedom is good.

 
OBS mainly a streaming software but you can record with it and it's pretty good quality, also very easy to use

Do you use have a windows aero theme? Shadowplay only seems to work if you use windows-aero.

And if you dont know what I mean by an aero theme, you just have to right click on your desktop and there should be something similar to this (mine is in danish but just look at the pictures) http://prntscr.com/6lwwqq    http://prntscr.com/6lwwds

I have a custom coloured theme, and mine works fine.

 
I use shadowplay all the time. However 50% of my shadowplays don't capture any sound..
