If you have battleeye client and get caught hacking, is it true if you get banned that you receive a global ban off of all IB games?

(I haven't myself, but was just curious of however these global bans work)

Hello

As far as I know.

Global Bans do NOT carry over.

BattlEye bans you by the game key of the game you get banned on.

I could be wrong. But this is what I know.

You are wrong.

A global ban applies to any battle eye supported BI games.

Global ban is only for the game that you are banned on.
Not on any other BI games.

Why am I wrong? I had a global ban on Arma 2, still could play other games.
Was that Before all of the BI games swapped to steam

I am 100% you're wrong.. before answering i googled it and it was on the official BattleEye site.

What's the point of saying wrong to everyone else?

Why don't you link the website you used for your research instead of refusing everyone else that tried to help?

Because a 10 second google gives 1,780 results with the same answer over and over again.

He only states DayZ SA here but it is with any BI + BE supported.

I see your point tho... will ensure next time I link source and won't be as blunt

Alright I can't give sources, but usually a Global ban is actually a BEC (BattlEye Extended Controls) ban and not an actual BattlEye ban, If it's a real BattlEye ban then the ban will carry over to all owned BI games you have on your steam account since it uses your SteamID as identification, the BEC bans are only game based and only on servers that use their banlist, the Global ban is for everything BI BattlEye related to your steamaccount (steamID) Hope this clarifies <3

Back in the day, they did not carry over as it was all CD-Key based and you didn't even need steam to play. Now when it uses your steam it DOES carry over to the other BI games.

I am not entirely sure of Arma 2, but I know for a fact that it works this way for ArmA 3 and DayZ SA. Also, if you have an old Arma 2 ban, it probably is a CD-Key ban and does not carry over for sure.
