"GET ON TS NOW"

As of lately, resolving things before they go to report a player has been a big thing. It is very good that players talk it out before it starts taking up admins and other players time. Props!

However, when asking people to come on TS, I've noticed that it is more common that people type "GET ON TS NOW", "GO ON TS RDMER", "BETTER GET ON TS AND EXPLAIN YOURSELF", than "Please come on TS so we can discuss what just happened" or  "Could you come on TS cause i believe you just broke a rule".

This needs to stop. If I was a new player I would NOT want to come on TS with someone who sends me caps lock message to get "on TS NOWWWW".

Just try to be polite, if they don't want to come on then move on or report them. It is usually pretty clear if they want to or care to resolve it.

Also, constant nag to get someone on TS is also not very nice or productive. If they haven't answered when you've asked them two or three times, they obviously don't want to. Or if they say no a couple of times.

it all boils down to: Be polite, be mature. Stay away from caps lock =)

Stay frosty everyone!

Couldn't agree more, I think people have the wrong idea when it comes to reporting. In my opinion reporting someone should only be used if you genuinely believe that person doesn't belong on the server/in the community. It's easy to report someone out of anger after a shady situation happens, but if it's someone with an established reputation in the community. To me; if its something petty I don't think they deserve to be banned. Unless you come across something serious such as racism, in game issues should be treated a bit more lenient, after all money can be replaced and its a game at the end of the day. A lot of the reports are resolved due to them just being honest mistakes and giving an apology. "GET ON TS NOW" feels like its just used so that they can prove they at least tried to resolve it on ts with the person without really having the intention to, you're right it just sounds hostile from the get-go and the player simply wouldnt want to talk someone who's in a mood like that
