Genuine scrapping vehicle question

Is there a set of rules cops follow for scrapping or is it at their discretion.

My hatchback sport was scrapped because I was "arrested on suspicion of fuel station robbery". 

I know a bit back my Orca was scrapped because some members of my team used it to try and escape the cops.

100% not a whinge topic I promise just wanted to know like I say, rules or own judgement?

Note that those listed above are MAXIMUM and the officer dealing with the situation can (at their discretion) lower this penalty or even nullify it entirely if your RP is good quality.

If you feel that your punishment was above this guideline then remember that all the cops use teamspeak and you can have a chat with them about it to see their side of the story and go from there.
