Alright, so me and my little brother tend to play a few hours a day, although it's mostly mining now, we're looking to advance into roleplay and combat. We've been looking through gangs and factions on ALUK and we wanted to do ARAC but as it is quite expensive, we want to do something like protecting fellow miners from harm because we have expierenced quite a bit of robberies during that we were mining in the past week, causing us to lose over a million each.. which is probably nothing compared to what most veterans in ALUK have lost during their time here.
But because my little brother is not very well with English, although he has potential and understands the basics to make good roleplay happen, communicating during conflict which is often asked in a gang often proves difficult. Now it does help that we Always play together and he never plays alone, so I'm usually able to translate quite a lot he cannot speak. But it's still proving to be an obstacle. My English being rusty as well, we're just two bad-English-ized Dutchies.
We've considered joining a Dutch gang but we've found that the Altis High Rollers are focusing upon robberies instead, which is something we do not like and often isn't roleplayed that well by many people we've encountered, although there was one clever bunch who offered us protection and robbed us at the trader, respect to those guys. LOL.
We have considered making our own gang.. we did. We're currently called The Baksteen Company.. but as I am sometimes playing on my own as well and we really want to do something like roleplay it would be nice to make that happen with more people and because it proves quite difficult to protect all those miners with just the two of us.
So here's the deal..
I've came up with a name, actually while writing this very setence. LOL. I've been thinking of something like Safety for Mining Association. The goals for this gang would be to:
1. Roleplay, roleplay being on number one, up and foremost.
2. Laugh. It's not going to be considered a serious gang.. you're supposed to have fun with playing this so please, have fun.
3. Protect the miners, or other LEGAL transports / traders.
4. No robberies, of course.
And I'm going to add that everyone is supposed to abide the server rules, which might be the most important thing of all but I didn't exactly consider it an official 'goal' of the gang itself.
The idea is that the gang is going to fly in small aircraft between the processors, traders and mines to protect transports and help them into getting safely to the trader and earn their hard earned cash, and even escort them to the ATM if neccesary. If there is to be combat, the police should be warned at all times. The members of the crew aren't supposed to wear masks either and cannot charge any cash for it either. So it's basically like AEGIS (sorry, AEGIS!) but then entirely focused on patrolling the mines, processors and the traders of LEGAL trades. This of course in cooperation with the Altis Police Force, AEGIS and Marmite Miners (if all those parties want to cooperate with us of course!)
I've not entirely figured out yet if I should make this a Dutch gang or an all-in gang, I personally do not really mind.
But while I'm working on details, graphics for a gang announcement and a roleplay story I've just been wondering about ideas from the community and perhaps even take up on suggestions.
